Learning to Check Teeth and Shoe Horses on Smaller Versions

In addition to running the horseshoeing school, Burgin teaches science at Scurry-Rosser Junior High. The colt had a baby molar that was loose and ready to come out. He is a Little Thicket Miniature owned by Glenn and Barbara Gartman. BELOW(bottom): Students from Burgin's school gets some real, hands-on experience with miniature horses at Little Thicket Miniatures in Beautiful Acres. Two students were assigned to work on a single horse. The group learned proper hoof trimming, the use of calipers to measure hoof thickness, and elementary teeth inspection
